In the painting titled; ‘The Breast that Satisfies All’ Asabea depicts God as a mother with her children, the different colours in a pointillist technique behind the woman represents the entire human race which depends on God’s breast. The painting makes reference to the best-known “El” compound name of God which is “El Shaddai”. Asabea has not seen God in the physical form but has ‘seen the woman’ whose breast is sucked by the young and the old in all nations. She sees God through the woman.
You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the Lord, am your Saviour, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. (Isaiah 60:16, NKJV) For you will nurse and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you will drink deeply and delight in her overflowing abundance.” (Isaiah 66:11, NKJV)
